Dear HRJFC Parents, Guardians and Players.
More great news last week, with the WA Government moving to Phase 3 of the WA Roadmap, which allows for contact sport to recommence as of Saturday the 6th of June. The easing of restrictions also allows for up to 100 people to gather per divided area (per soccer pitch) and up to 300 people per venue.
This means that, as of next week, full training can commence with no restrictions on tacking or small sided games, and parents are more than welcome to stick around and watch.
Football West have released a revised competition structure, with Round 1 scheduled for the 21st June. The season will run until the 4th of October, with no breaks scheduled for school holidays. There may also be a couple of double-header weekends to make up the 18-round season.
Note that we must still observe some COVID-19 precautions, which include keeping a 1.5m separation where possible, continuing with personal hygiene (i.e. hand sanitising before and after training and games), and limiting the use of shared equipment (i.e. no swapping training bibs). All coaches/managers will still be required to keep records of attendance and carry with them and observe the conditions set out in the club’s COVID-19 management plan.
Lil Hammers – U5-8s
We are looking at commencing the U5-U8s Lil Hammers program on Saturday the 20th June, in line with the start of the Junior/Miniroos competition. Further information about the Lil Hammers program will be sent out to registered parents over the next week or two.
The Uniform Shop at the Carine HRJFC Storeroom will be open on the following times:
- Saturday the 13th June 2020: 10am -12pm
- Saturday the 20th June 2020: 8am-11am
Note that sales are Cash Only. We have fresh stock of Hoodies and Training Shirts for those that missed out on Allocation Day, plus shorts and socks in all sizes.
Ground Marshals Needed
Do you know someone who might like to make a few $$$ on Sunday mornings. We require Ground Marshals for Carine and Sheldrake home games. Duties include:
- Opening up the storeroom before the first game and facilitating the packing away of equipment after the last game
- Directing opposition teams to the correct pitch
- Collecting and checking match cards
- Keeping an eye on the behaviour of spectators, coaches, and players, and recording/reporting any incidents.
Interested parties must be over 18 years old. HRJFC will pay for the Working With Children certificate if required.
Please email expressions of interest to email@example.com
Linesman and Referee Training
For U13 to U18 games, it is up to both teams to provide a volunteer linesman for each game. There will also be instances where no official Football West Referee is assigned to your game, in which case the home team is required to provide a Volunteer Referee from the parent base.
Each year we run a “Linesman and Referee” training night for parents of U13 to U18 players to explain all of the rules and regulations you need to know.
We will forward information about this event as soon as we have access to the Carine Club Rooms and booked a date.
